I was born and raised in North Central Texas. Where I got my start with Sound work in churches and punk rock venues. By 2009 I was making basement recordings with musician friends and starting to fall in love with recording. I attended Midwestern State University from 2010 to 2013 where I earned a BFA in Theatrical Design with an emphasis in Sound Design. I'm currently in my third year of Graduate school at the The University of Alabama.
My story has two narratives-- how I became a carpenter, and how I became an audio engineer: and how theatre has been the meeting place of so much that I love.
I started building scenery with my dad at age 11. It wasn't in a theatre, it was in a church for a passion play. We didnt have much-- we managed to build a set with nothing more than a circular saw, a hammer and some 16 penny nails. I've been building scenery every since-- sometimes through similar hardships. It's only been recently that I've started making the transition into understanding and executing the role of the Technical Director. Again-- the thing I love most about the theatre is where the Art meets the Science.
