LM386 Amp Circuit
In the spring of 2015 at the The University of Alabama I took a class called "Electricity and Electronics for Entertainment." It wound up being one of the most beneficial classes I would take in grad school. The aim of the course was to address things that we routinely visit in other classes-- Like Ohms law and Power theory, and expand on that knowledge with Circuit Analysis and Electronic components and schematics.
At the end of the class we were asked to do some research and design our own circuit with some kind of practical application.
I designed this guitar amp with the practical purpose of amplifying an electric guitar to approximately the volume of an acoustic guitar. I added in the functionality of a Masonite top so the amp could also be played as a percussion device, like a cajon.
The whole thing runs on 9v Batteries so it can be used by buskers.
